Terms of Service

Unmyung Baekgwa is a service operated from the Republic of Korea by Monster. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This English version is provided for your convenience.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Monster (the “Company”) and users in connection with the use of the “Unmyung Baekgwa” service (the “Service”) operated by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” means the generation and delivery of Saju (Four Pillars) and personality-analysis content (the “Report”) based on the birth date, time, and other information the user provides.
- “User” means any person who uses the Service under these Terms.
- “Paid Content” means the full Report provided after payment.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)
The Company posts these Terms within the Service. The Company may amend these Terms within the limits permitted by applicable law. When amending, the Company will state the effective date and reason and give notice at least 7 days in advance (30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to users).
Article 4 (Provision and Change of the Service)
The Company provides the Service on a year-round basis in principle. However, the Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service where unavoidable, such as system maintenance, replacement or failure, loss of communications, or force majeure.
Article 5 (Nature of the Content — Important)
The Report provided by the Service is content for entertainment and self-understanding purposes, based on Saju (Korean Four Pillars) and personality analysis. The Report does not predict or guarantee the future, and does not replace professional advice on important decisions in areas such as medicine, law, investment, or career. Users should treat the Report as reference material only, and remain solely responsible for any judgment or decision made based on it.
Article 6 (Formation of the Contract and Payment)
- A usage contract is formed when the user agrees to these Terms, enters their information, and completes payment for the Paid Content.
- The fee for the Paid Content is the amount shown on the checkout page; payment methods and amounts follow what is displayed at checkout.
- Fees may change following prior notice; changes do not affect payments already made before the change.
Article 7 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)
The Paid Content is digital content generated and delivered immediately upon order. Matters concerning withdrawal of subscription and refunds follow the separate “Refund & Cancellation Policy.” Please refer to that page for details.
Article 8 (User Obligations)
- Users must enter accurate information; any disadvantage arising from inaccurate information is borne by the user.
- Users must not misappropriate others’ information or interfere with the normal operation of the Service.
- Users may not reproduce, distribute, or resell the Report for commercial purposes without the Company’s consent.
Article 9 (Protection of Personal Information)
The Company endeavors to protect users’ personal information in accordance with applicable law. Matters concerning the processing of personal information follow the separate “Privacy Policy.”
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
- The Company is not liable for damages arising from causes for which it is not responsible, such as force majeure, causes attributable to the user, or failures of third-party services (payment, communications, hosting, etc.).
- The Company is not liable for decisions users make in reliance on the interpretation in the Report, or for the results of those decisions (see Article 5).
Article 11 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
In the event of a dispute between the Company and a user regarding these Terms or use of the Service, the parties shall resolve it in good faith through sincere consultation. If no agreement is reached, the competent court shall be determined under the Civil Procedure Act, and the laws of the Republic of Korea shall govern.
